Membership in RMMLA

All persons affiliated with departments of languages, literatures, cultures, film studies, and other related fields, in public and private educational institutions, as well as emeriti/retired or independent scholars with similar interests, are welcome to join the Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association. Members are encouraged to contribute to the "RMMLA Grants and Awards Fund" when submitting dues payment. RMMLA dues are not refundable.

Current members of RMMLA have access to an online "Membership Directory" which contains the contact information that you provided on your membership form. You may opt out of this directory by choosing the "Hidden Directory Listing" option.

IF you are the chair of a session at the RMMLA convention, we will include the contact information that you have given us in our online Call for Papers. Therefore, please only give us the contact information that you are willing to have listed in our Web-based CFP.

NB:If you forget your RMMLA member ID and password, those can be emailed to you as long as we have your correct email address. If your email address changes, please email with an update.

How to Join RMMLA OR Renew your Membership:

STEP ONE: Confirm, update or complete a Membership Form (available at the bottom of this page ).
  • Renewals: RMMLA membership runs from January 1 through December 31.
    1. Click on the Membership Form link below.
    2. Type in your email address and RMMLA password to retrieve your existing membership record.
      If you don't remember your RMMLA password, you can go to the LOGIN page and have it emailed to you.
    3. Confirm or update the contact information that we have on file for you. If you have had a name change, please email as only RMMLA can change the name on your account.
    4. Choose and submit your payment method (see STEP TWO below).
  • New Members: Click on the Membership Form link below, complete the form, and then choose and submit your payment method (see STEP TWO below).

  • Check
    If you want to pay by check, you will print out the completed and submitted Membership Form and mail it to us with your check (in US$, made out to 'RMMLA'). You will receive email confirmation receipt of the transaction. Please send your check to:

  • If you want to pay online using our secure online payment service, just choose this option and complete the credit card form. RMMLA accepts VISA (credit and debit cards), MasterCard (credit and debit cards), and Discover. You will receive an email receipt of the transaction. Please note that any credit card payment to RMMLA will appear on your statement as a charge from "InnovEd," RMMLA's credit card processor. It can take 1-2 business days for a transaction to be processed and for your membership record to be created or updated. You will receive a confirmation email from RMMLA with your login ID and password. Once you are in the system as a current member, you can register for the convention.
